This ministry meets each Sunday evening, 5:55 pm - 7:30 pm, and provides a wonderful assortment of Bible study activities, recreation, games, and refreshments for boys and girls throughout the year. The 2010-2011 A.W.A.N.A children's program began its new year on Sunday evening, September 12, at 5:55 pm -7:30pm and continues into 2011, at 5:55 pm - 7:30pm, each evening, until May.
With an enrollment of around 60 participants, the program had an exciting and challenging year last year.
For those who are unfamiliar with A.W.A.N.A., it is a wonderful and challenging children's ministry for children preschool-6th grades. The name is derived from the Scripture, "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" (2 Timothy 2:15).
Boys and girls are provided a challenging and fun level of activities that encourage Scripture memory, Bible story applications, and moral lessons. Refreshments, recreation, and various games are included in the evening's activities.
The children are given opportunities for advancement and achievement at various levels in the program as they work at their own pace and level. Awards and items are earned as they achieve goals in the program.
Kris Lee continues as our A.W.A.N.A. Commander this year, and Julie Beanland is his assistant and secretary. These two head up the program. Numerous volunteer staff assist in the weekly program.

Registration is required for participation in the program, and fees are collected to offset the cost of the program.
